Application and Deadlines

Sequoia accepts 55-65 intermediate and advanced students with strong sight-reading skills, ages 12 to 20, for each week. The workshop accepts players of violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn. Pianists with exceptionally good reading skills are also encouraged to apply.

Sequoia 2012 Dates:

Session I: June 17-June 23, 2012
Session II: June 24-June 30, 2012

Applications for Sequoia 2012 are now being accepted.
Application Postmark Deadline: April 15, 2012.

Applications are to include:

1.) a completed application form
2.) a teacher evalution form submitted direcly by the teacher (forms available online)
3.) an AUDITION RECORDING (MP3, MD, CD, DVD, or digital audio or video file ONLY) OR LIVE AUDITION* including two representative scales and two contrasting solo works (if you want it returned, please submit self-addressed stamped package)
4.) a $40 non-refundable application fee.

Live Auditions for the 2012 Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop are optional (recordings are also acceptable) and will take place this Spring: Dates TBD
